Act ffxiv not working.
Apparently changes in 6.35 have the parser plugin acting inconsistently if its not launched by the time you hit the character select screen. Closing the client, opening ACT, and then opening the client has solved this for me. Very useful reddit post, should update the answer for easier viewing!

I tried reinstalling, restarting the game and my pc, readding the plugins, repairing the firewall rule and whenever i test the game connection it passes with success yet it still doesn't display the dps. 10 4.Normally when you install the FFXIV_ACT_plugin a button should appear that says "show overlay" but that button does not appear when installing the plugin. So maybe it is problem with the FFXIV_ACT_plugin and windows 11. Or maybe I'm just doing something wrong but I have installed a couple of times before and never had an issue.When you install the OverlayPlugin after the FFXIV_ACT_Plugin, the latter gets moved down in the load order (no idea if that's new or if it was like that all the time). The data source here is only based on Dalamud.Game.Network and does not require any extra injection with Deucalion or network capture with elevated privileges. Re-installed. Re-downloaded FFXIV plugin. Confirmed log file locations. Tried turning on and off network parsing neither seemed to make a difference. White listed in firewall. Turned off firewall. I also always run ACT as admin.

I am having an issue where ACT will just stop working after about 30 mins. When i attempt to check the FFXIV connection I get that the firewall rule needs to be repaired. I do so, restart and after a while it does the same thing. Looking into the event viewer i see some of the following. The plugin has to be manually updated by the developer, and that usually takes a couple days. ACT breaks every time theres a game update. just wait for it to get updated. It always takes 2-3 days before the patches come in and it all stabilizes. It’s like this after every patch, large or small.
