Worked with their IT group to match up with submission 10/10 - email that application was under review 10/13 - accepted/reject buttons showed up 10/23 - Guaranteed Acceptance to Masters of Rehabilitation Technology 10/25 - Merit Award 1490 SAT 3.9 UW GPA At first we think Pitt is affordable by looking at past tuition rate. However, look at new tuition rate, it seems a bit pricy comparing to other OOS schools that S24 got admitted. The reason we fell in love with Pitt after visit is the medical resources and school size. Also the city size of Pittsburgh is just right.

He also admitted to Stony Brook with merits and the COA will be similar to in state tuition. Stony Brook is also known to have great medical resources and closer to home (5.5hr to Pitt vs 2.5hr to SB). That’s why we now have second thought on Pitt even we do like Pittsburgh.The Psych major is very popular at Pitt. A lot of pre-meds take it as well as non pre-meds. Pitt does not offer a Psych minor at the main campus. Notably, the PhD Psych program (as well as PhD Philosophy) are highly regarded. Pitt doesn't even offer much to stellar in-state students anymore. (post-Covid) Pitt still attracts plenty of full-pay international, full-pay OOS, and full-pay in-state students.
