The rods were "spray lubed" from pressurized oil on the Series 1s, which were in all IH built 682/782s and all MTD built 682/782s up through early 1984. I would at minimum swap a Magnum 18 or Command 18-up in it. That is worth $300-$400 all day every day including Sunday!
