The SKS is a carbine and thus a bit short. I'm 6'2" and the gun felt small. The extra inch gives me a more comfortable fit. All-in-all I love my Yugo SKS. I even like it better than any AK I've fired. I personnally have found my SKS to be a bit more accurate than the AK's I've shot. But that could be my bias. My 2 cents.
