966 Posts. #21 · Nov 8, 2021. we have a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. this is a known issue on the Pacifica forums. its usually 1 or more of 3 things. 1) bad Aux battery. 2) failing main battery. 3) not being driven enough to charge/keep charged the Aux battery. we haven't had the issue on our 2019 so I haven't had to become an expert on this yet.
We have a 2020 Pacifica which is nearing the 36,000 mile - End of Warranty mark. A month ago my wife was driving it several hundred miles from our house and the Auto Start/Stop Disabled message appeared on the dashboard, along with the Check Engine light. The smaller auxiliary battery is used to support the ignition off electrical loads in the vehicle when the engine is stopped while the main cranking battery is what powers on that starter so removing that smaller battery wont disable the start stop since thats not what it uses.
