It would not lock up. Since the front lug is further forward, the gun would not return to battery after you rack the slide. Once the front lug and slide lock engaged, it would keep the gun about .2-.3" out of battery, so yeah, the G20 barrel is out. I'm pretty sure the G20 slide would work with a G29 extended barrel.
