2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLE L5P Duramax. Howdy! Just purchased my first Duramax last week, but I have always admired them since I began driving. I had a 2005 Sierra 1500 prior to this truck and it was always solid for me, but now that I have upgraded to the 2500 I must say I have been missing out! This new L5P engine is pretty darn impressive.

Properly Leveling a L5P. First thing most of our customers do after buying a new truck is have the truck ride height adjusted so it sits the way they want and throw on a new set of wheels and tires. Most the time this is just raising the front because they dont like the amount of rake they are set at out of the factory.

Lift pump is in the tank. If you have a cts3 or derringer check your lift pump pressure while driving. There are some though. Regen issues, thumping sound from the motor, and a few other smaller things. The fuel pumps don't appear to be an issue on the L5P motors. I would never consider a LML after owning a L5P. $1500 to delete a Cummins or LML. $7,000 to delete an L5P. $3,000 to convert from a CP4 to CP3 on the LML. $700+ to level the GMC/Chevy compared to $100 to level the Ram.
