Ford focus no key detected.
2014 Focus key not detected. The spare still works fine, and all the buttons still work (lock/unlock, open trunk) but my key is no longer being detected in the ignition. I tried changing the battery, and I tried following some reprogramming steps I found online, but no luck. Anything else I could try?

Try re-connecting the battery first. Then If you have a volt meter try connecting it to the battery and see what the voltage is without turning the key. It should be no less than 12 volts without the engine running. When you try to start it the voltage shouldn't drop much with a good, new, battery.Stopped vehicle and would not start and kept giving no key detected. Got home and tried spare key. Same issue. No key detected. I got a locksmith to reprogram my keys and it started right up for him with both keys being tested. then driving again, shut down while driving. I don't know what is going on. I checked the fuse box and everything was good. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery multiple times.
