Nov 30, 2010. #1. I have a 1950 8N that my Dad purchased in 1954 when I was a young boy. He had a Model 19-21 Dearborn loader that we used on the 8N since about 1960. I have not used the loader for several years and recently had it sold to someone who also had an 8N. However, when we tried to mount the loader on his tractor we had major problems.
You would be much better off locating a 19-97 model 703 loader that was designed for AG tractors with the lighter front axle . You have to unbolt the pump and then slide it back to get the shaft out of the hub that is bolted to the crank shaft pulley. If you have the correct adaptors it will go on and work as good as a Ford loader. If you run the loader off tractor hydraulics it will be slower than a separate pump.

Disconnect pump from mount and take the shaft coupler apart. Not that much trouble, no need to remove any hydraulic hoses. I just used some bailing wire to hold the pump out of my way.
