DoorDash knows customers scam but, it’s little that can be done. Most scammers low/non tip. So must drivers use that to stay away from them. Some will actually tip more to not appear scammy too! All we can do is as much as possible to protect ourselves but, DoorDash knows most the claims are false against us.

DOORDASH DRIVER SCAM - BEWARE! So I am a DD driver and have been for two years now. Today I received a dash from McDonalds and saw that it was literally a single packet of Apple slices. I thought it was super weird but picked it up and drove to the customers house. As soon as I pulled up to the drop off, I received a phone call that said Doordash.Doordash scams its customers . I placed an order yesterday worth around $60 after taxes and fees. When my driver was about halfway to my location they messaged me and told me they had lost over half of my order on the ground, they also told me I could get a refund.However, where it becomes a scam is the fact that DD lies to its customers and uses the tip to subsidize their own costs. DD may 'guarantee' a driver $6 for an order, and if the customer tipped $5, DD would pay only $1 + the customer's tip = $5 = $6.
