The Tikka is one of the best rifles you can get for less than 1k. I'd say it's the best. The Savage is okay for a budget or beginner rifle, but they go on sale close to Christmas for 250-300 bucks. If you want a magazine fed rifle, get a savage with AICS style magwell. They’re abour $35 for polymer magpul 10 rounders. Its a hunting gun, you need 2 magazines at most. Get the Tikka. The Tikka is far and away a better rifle out of the box.

The Tikka is a better smoother action, but the RPR is just "easy". For the $500 difference I'd get the A1. If you can find a 6.5 RPR for $999, I'd go that route. The advice on getting a used Tikka action or T3x and dropping it into a Bravo aren't a bad idea.

Update 01/27/2021: We have revised and strengthened the barrel nut as well as added the option for SS to the lineup. The new nut has a "hood" on it that covers the tenon threads left on the barrel and streamlines the fit on the receiver. The outside of the barrel nut still fits in the Tikka T3x chassis handguard mount as well.
