(More likely) Your 3DS ran out of battery, but it's battery literally completely drained so the internal clock couldn't even keep ticking, so the date and time were reset to 1/1/2011, which is the earliest you can set the date to. What the title of this thread says. I would rather use homebrew for this, because SaveDataFiler is on a different system than the one I want to restore on.
