How do you turn off closed caption on xfinity.
Have you tried backing out of all apps, go to settings, go to device care, manage storage, select the infinity app, clear cache. Then go back into the Xfinity app and start a program. CC is defaulted to on, so pause the program and at the bottom of the screen arrow over to cc, turn it off. The rest of the programs started without cc on.

We know how to turn if OFF by navigating to the icon, but we don't want to have to do that every <darn> time. 4 years ago. This is also happening to me on my TV. Closed Captioning is set to ON under device preferences but still turns off. I end up having to go to the bottom of the screen and selecting CC again to turn it on. Started a few weeks ago. Very annoying.
