I went outside on both occasions and nothing is visible that someone tried to break in. I opened the door and started the car as usual and the info display said "Theft Attempted". So, I tried this and that, finding that the trick to clearing the message is to activate the system again and then when you unlock the car with the RKE transmitter and start it, the tamper condition will have been fully reset, not just dismissed from the current registry.
