I have a rear sight pusher with an operating screw that has a 5/8 inch hex on it to push the sight out of the dove tail. The tool comes with a 4 inch 1/4 inch rod to stick through a whole in the hex head. Initial turning of the screw got ZERO movement.

Kimber uses a quality bushingless bull barrel in their 4" and 3" pistols to achieve the accuracy they wanted from those pistols.It is my understanding that the sights are installed at the factory using a hydraulic press, and even when you remove the little allen screw from the site it is not an easy task to move it even a millimeter. I guess that's why they are considered "non ajustable" rear sights, and not target sights. For reference, here's the gun in question: 1.
