The lake itself is about 7,280 acres at normal level, but was up 16 feet because of recent rains. I was concerned about this affecting the fishing, but Don said it wouldn’t and it didn’t. The Grapevine Sailing Club was apparently sponsoring a summer camp, because I saw a bunch of their boats out filled with youngsters.

The ramp is fairly steep which is great. Some of the other ramps on the lake can be fairly shallow. You will not find that here.
