I have been trimming some Remington Gun Club hulls down to length and loading them on a 600 but I will eventually be switching to the 2.5" shells either by trimming them with a tool or buying the hulls new from an on-line source.

They fit and work perfectly. There's no need to retrofit your reloader until/unless these become unavailable. I tried reloading .410s on a Grabber but was frustrated by the messes I made when shot bridged or wads partially backed out as well as the less than stellar crimps on older hulls that weren't indexed by hand.Bumping up your payload with the same powder charge might be asking for trouble. It doesn't take much to exceed shotgun pressure limits of 11,500 psi for 12 gauge. If the load isn't a "book" load, don't shoot it. Might switch to a slower powder with more bulk. 17 grains of powder doesn't take up much space in the case.
