There is a difference in the Hydraulic Oil Cub Cadet uses. Hytran and/or Cub Cadet Hydraulic Transmission is a petroleum based product, that was used in the earlier Cubs. The newer Cubs used a Synthetic based product. DO NOT mix the two different types up. As it has been previously stated, I would suggest that you use what the manual recommends.
