Project zomboid barricade windows.

I have a hammer , more than enough nails and plank on me, and i have already barricaded 2 windows on the building but i can't seem to put up planks on either the door or the 3 remaining windows. I have read in google/reddit and search on this forums and apparently it has been an issue for a long time. Is this just a random bug or what exactly is happening ?.Project Zomboid. When you build a "window" you are only building a wall with a space for a window. You can take windows from houses using a crowbar and put them in that space, you can then board them up. However, make sure you put the barricades on the outside of the windows so zombies don't break the glass before the barricades. #10.

Zombies will try to enter a building if it see or hear you inside, and it will break the barricade. I don't know if exist a setting you said. The setting I know is to enable or disable a Z to randomly attack a construction.
