Can traditional AK wood sets be used on the saiga .223? I know with enough modification, anything can be done. But I'm looking for something that doesn't require a lot of machining of the Saiga. I don't really care for the plastic original stock set, or the tapco plastic. I prefer AK wood. And AK wood sets can be found all over the place.

I fitted a set of .308 wood to a Saiga-12 a while back. The forend needs some material hogged out and re-stained, as well as a new handguard screw hole and slot carved into the wood.
