It would recover after 5-20 seconds but it makes online gaming impossible. The only thing suspicious I could find in the router logs is a message " [SYS] LED dim ...CR1000A and G3100 will fight for dominance over E3200. This is a no-no, unless you run VLAN at home. I learned this the hard way. I've been told the G3100 has better Wifi than the CR1000. In my testing, G3100/E3200's WiFi 6 High band can reach 1024 Mbps on a 2 x 2 client. CR1000A's WiFi 6 5Ghz can reach 880 Mbps.I have it and did not have any drops. try reset and then replace.Speeds were great on new router. Try turning off IPv6 on the CR1000A and see if that helps. If your area has IPv6 that might be causing the problem. Not sure why the G1100 might not suffer from the same effects, but it's an easy change to see if it is the problem.It seems that the firmware upgrade you received has broken your forwarded TCP packets to your static route. The logs show errors with "IPTABLES [Pkt_Illegal]" and mention the blocked TCP packets. You might want to check the firewall rules in the Verizon CR1000A device to ensure that the desired packets are allowed to pass through the device.

CR1000a port forwarding troubles. I am attempting to port forward on my new cr1000a router but it doesn't seem to work no matter what I try. Should I try to contact Verizon at this point? Looked it up it's a common issue w the Cr1000a that they're coming out w a cr1000B. I currently have the Amplifi Alien but it doesn't have 6E ... If the OP wants to prove CR1000A is the bottlebeck, multiple devices with multiple NICs, manufacturers, and operating systems are required to obtain the same adverse result.

There's CR1000A and CR1000B. They're basically the same but manufactured by 2 different companies. The A is the one that keeps dropping 2.4GhZ network. I tried to find a B, but none of the local Verizon places have one for me. And Verizon doesn't have a way to ship only the B version because they consider them to be the same.CR1000A here with gigabit. I get 980 down wired about 650ish through wifi. Good enough for me. . The reason they don't connect via wireless backhaul is because the G3100/E3200 used a second 5 GHz Band to connect wirelessly. The CR1000A doesn't have the second 5 GHz band. It is designed to connect to the CME1000 Wi-Fi Extender Mini using the 6 GHz band. The E3200s are used because the CME1000s have an inventory shortage right now.

How far the wifi reaches is entirely dependent on the construction and layout of your house. The more physical objects in the way, the less distance the wifi will travel. Wifi6e signals will attenuate much quicker than wifi 2.4Ghz signals. There will be improvement but won't be a drastic difference in coverage between the G1100 and CR1000a.
