The 718 gen spyder roof is actually fairly easy. You can also release it with the keyfob and then it takes like 15-20s to pop it down. The previous generations were way more difficult and ruined the reputation of the spyder. I'm in the same boat, GT4 manual vs Emira V6 manual. Hard to compare pricing as GT4 has ADMs currently and I'm sure most Emiras will not be sold at sticker either. I'll wait and see if my Lotus dealer wants an ADM when the allocations are locked, if it's unreasonable I'll pick up a 718 GT4 manual (I had a 981 GT4, phenomenal car).
