These carriers are from a Labor Day run a couple years back, I believe, and I haven’t seen them around too often. Has less than 500 rounds on it. $160 shipped. Next is an LMT SA enhanced carrier with an LMT bolt. Lightly used for a couple hundred rounds.

All you need to be sure of is: will your gas block clear the tight ID of the Specwar upper. My understanding is that most low-profile gas blocks will be fine. The decision to convert or not is yours. But if it were me, I would save the BRT barrel for another build and buy an LMT barrel for your Specwar. The LMT is so much easier on the wallet and the fit and function of LMT rifles are outstanding. KAC and Noveske are both well built rifles but I question the price tag.
